Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants to work within a range of specialist and mainstream schools across Reading and the surrounding areas. The Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning and develop essential life skills. You may provide one-to-one support, assist small groups, or work alongside classroom teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, SEMH, and Learning Difficulties.


• Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning materials where necessary.


• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.


• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.


• Promoting independence, confidence, and social development.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.


• A genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needs.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• A patient, caring, and resilient approach.


• Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Health & Social Care, or related fields are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
