Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants to work within a range of specialist and mainstream schools across Reading and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
The Role:
As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning and develop essential life skills. You may provide one-to-one support, assist small groups, or work alongside classroom teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, SEMH, and Learning Difficulties.
- Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning materials where necessary.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Promoting independence, confidence, and social development.
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
- Relevant qualifications in Education, Psychology, Health & Social Care, or related fields are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
