Practice Manager
An established general practice surgery focused on providing high\-quality patient care wishes to recruit a Practice Manager to lead the operational and administrative functions of our clinic.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator or manager, who would enjoy working in a healthcare environment. This position would suit a highly\-motivated and organised person, who can work closely with our GP partners and clinical team to effectively manage and shape the future development of the practice.
Experience with General Practice or General Medical Scheme contracts is not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate.
About the Role
As Practice Manager, you will oversee the day\-to\-day running of the practice while driving continuous improvement in patient services, operational efficiency, staff development and business performance.
*Responsible for:*
- Optimise practice workflows and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Developing key performance indicators and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Supporting digital innovation and optimisation of practice management systems
- Contributing to strategic planning and future growth initiatives
- Leading and managing all non\-clinical aspects of the practice
- Ensuring the smooth delivery of services to both GMS and private patients
- Managing practice finances, budgets, payroll, purchasing and supplier contracts
- Overseeing GMS claims processing and monitoring income streams, including private practice and state\-funded services
- Ensuring compliance with GDPR, employment legislation, health and safety and healthcare regulations
- Managing patient feedback and supporting excellent patient experience
- Liaising with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals, the HSE and external stakeholders
- Track and manage practice expenses
- Assist with recruitment, training and onboarding of new team members
- Provide HR and administrative support to existing staff
- Schedule, organise, and attend practice and partner meetings
*The ideal candidate will have:*
- Previous experience in management, finance or human resources in a fast\-paced environment
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Experience managing staff, budgets, payroll and practice operations
- Strong IT skills
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and lead change effectively
- A proactive, solution\-focused and patient\-centred approach
