We are a long\-established, highly respected, patient\-centred GP practice located in the heart of Sheffield, serving a population of approximately 9,700 patients as part of the Townships 2 Primary Care Network. Our multidisciplinary team is passionate about delivering high\-quality care while creating a positive and supportive environment for both patients and staff.

Due to our current Practice Business Manager relocating following a promotion opportunity closer to home, we are seeking an experienced, motivated, and forward\-thinking leader to join our team and help shape the future of the practice.

About Us

Richmond Medical Centre is a modern, purpose\-built training practice with a strong reputation for excellent patient care, accessibility, innovation, and teamwork. We are proud of our caring and supportive culture, with regular team development sessions, wellbeing initiatives, social events, and strong collaborative relationships across our PCN and wider healthcare community.

We have embraced digital transformation across the practice, utilising systems including SystmOne, AccuRx, AccuRx Scribe, Lexacom, and Xero software to support efficient and innovative ways of working.

Our premises have been extended multiple times to support patient growth and include modern clinical facilities, a minor surgery suite, meeting and training spaces, staff wellbeing areas, and environmentally sustainable features including solar energy systems and a staff wellbeing garden.

The Role

This is a key senior leadership role, working closely with the 4 GP Partners within the practice. The successful candidate will support the strategic and operational leadership of the organisation while maintaining a strong focus on patient care, staff wellbeing, innovation, and sustainable practice development.

The role offers a broad and rewarding portfolio including:

  • Strategic planning and organisational development

  • Financial and business management

  • Human resources and workforce leadership

  • Governance, compliance, and CQC readiness

  • Digital transformation and information governance

  • Premises and facilities management

  • Patient services and operational performance

  • Collaborative working with the PCN, ICB, and wider healthcare partners.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, approachable, resilient, and able to inspire and support teams through a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant experience within a senior management or business management role

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Financial management and strategic planning experience

  • Experience of HR management and people leadership

  • Knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management

  • A collaborative and solutions\-focused approach

  • Excellent IT and digital systems knowledge

  • The ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Experience within Primary Care or the NHS would be advantageous, but we also welcome applicants with transferable leadership and business management experience from other sectors.
