This isn't a domestic plumbing role and it isn't a role where you'll spend your days fitting bathrooms in empty properties. You'll be working within a busy manufacturing environment where your skills directly contribute to keeping facilities operational for thousands of people every day.
Whether it's resolving a drainage issue before it impacts operations, repairing a leaking water system, improving welfare facilities, or supporting planned maintenance activities during shutdown periods, your work will help keep a major automotive manufacturing facility running smoothly.
Role Responsibilities:* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Respond to plumbing and drainage\-related breakdowns and defects.
- Diagnose and repair faults on hot and cold\-water systems.
- Maintain and repair sanitary ware, taps, valves and associated plumbing equipment.
- Investigate and resolve drainage blockages and system failures.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing \& Heating (or equivalent).
- Experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services, Industrial Maintenance or Manufacturing.
- Strong plumbing fault\-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience maintaining commercial hot and cold\-water systems.
- Experience maintaining drainage systems and associated infrastructure.

- Repairing a leaking pipework system.
- Replacing a faulty flush valve or tap.
- Carrying out maintenance on under\-sink pumping equipment.
- Inspecting drainage infrastructure.
- Completing a plumbing modification to support an improvement project.
- Supporting maintenance activities during a planned production shutdown.
- Updating work orders and recording completed tasks within Maximo.
- Working alongside engineers from other disciplines to deliver site improvements.
- Experience using Maximo or similar CAFM systems.
- Knowledge of calorifiers, expansion vessels, control valves, point\-of\-use water heaters, under\-sink pumps and wastewater systems.
- IPAF qualification.
- PASMA qualification.
- Confined Space Awareness.
- Previous experience working on a shift\-based maintenance team.
