PHP Senior Laravel Developer for Global Event Technology Company - UK

Sector Global is a leading event technology company with an enviable reputation internationally. We work with leading trade show organisers and corporations to deliver networking services at events around the world. We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated PHP Developer to work with our team to develop our unique event technology platform further.

The ideal candidate will be someone with an entrepreneurial attitude who is happy to take full business ownership of the product. Relevant industry experience would be a bonus but is not essential.

Key Requirements

• 5\+ years of commercial experience working with PHP


• Production experience with Laravel 8\+ framework


• Strong MySQL relational databases skills


• Proven knowledge of Vue.js


• Demonstrable general web technology skills, including HTML, SASS/CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc


• Experience consuming web services via APIs – SOAP, XML and RESTful


• Some experience with cloud deployment – AWS fargate or experience using docker as a minimum


• Located within an hour and a half of Clevedon, North Somerset, UK

We’re looking for a strong communicator capable of conveying complex concepts to non\-technical account teams and clients. With a confident personality, you will help guide projects towards the right end solution.

You will have some experience with front\-end development, design/graphics manipulation and general all\-around web development skills.

Travel isn’t a requirement for this role, but as we are an international company with projects taking place worldwide; there may be opportunities for travel if you wish.

This is a split remote/office\-based opportunity, we are therefore looking for candidates based near or in the South West in the UK.
