Senior Care Assistant

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in providing high\-quality, person\-centred care to our residents.

What You’ll Do:

• Support residents with daily living in line with individual care plans


• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned residents


• Supervise and mentor care staff, ensuring care delivery meets high standards


• Administer and manage medications following policy


• Monitor nutrition, hydration, health, safety, and wellbeing of residents


• Act as a key liaison with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies


• Lead and manage shifts in collaboration with the management team.

• Level 2/3 Diploma/NVQ in Health \& Social Care (Adults) or equivalent


• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills


• Experience in a dementia care home setting


• Experience in person\-centred working


• A proactive, professional attitude with a passion for elderly care

• Flexible shifts based on two weeks rota


• Alternate weekend working required


• Occasional on call duties

Pay: £13\.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Clevedon BS21 7DZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

• English (preferred)
