An opportunity has arisen for a Dispensing Assistant to work in our busy pharmacy. A minimum level 2 dispensing qualification is an advantage although not a necessity however, experience in a customer service or healthcare environment would be of a benefit to the role
Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal communication skills are required as well as being able to work well within a team. Attention to detail is a must and being able to concentrate and remain accurate in your work even when there are distractions. You must be self motivated, hard working, adaptable and prepared to learn new skills as well as being committed to helping drive the business and services which will be of great benefit to customers.
Responsibilities:
\- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
\- Review medication orders for completeness and accuracy
\- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
\- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
\- Answer phone calls and address inquiries or concerns
\- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies
\- Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
\- Minimum level 2 Dispensing qualification preferred
\- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser preferred
\- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
\- Knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, dosage forms, and drug interactions
\- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and technology
\- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The above experience is a preference but not a necessity as training will be given for the right candidate
