Job Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a (Qualified) Pharmacy Dispenser Assistant, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure smooth medication dispensing and exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will support licensed pharmacists by preparing prescriptions, managing medication supplies, and assisting patients with their pharmacy needs. Your proactive approach will contribute to a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for all customers and staff. This is a maternity\-cover role, and applicants must hold a valid dispensing certificate; unqualified applicants will not be considered.
Guaranteed hours: Friday 8hrs, Saturday 4hrs
Duties
- Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare prescriptions by counting, labeling, and packaging medications according to protocols
- Manage inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring stock is well\-organized and replenished as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and guiding patients on medication usage and store services
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications, patient interactions, and inventory transactions
- Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to all pharmacy regulations and safety procedures
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or assistant is mandatory
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
- Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work accurately in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrated understanding of pharmacy operations, including inventory management and prescription processing
Pay: From £12\.75 per hour
Expected hours: 12\.0 per week
