Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting pharmacy operations, and assisting with medication distribution. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring patients receive accurate information and timely assistance in a professional environment. Previous experience in pharmacy settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities
- Greet customers courteously and assist with their enquiries at the pharmacy counter
- Dispense over\-the\-counter medications and provide guidance on their proper use
- Support pharmacy technicians with medication organisation and inventory management
- Assist with patient care activities, including basic medication administration under supervision
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and maintained in accordance with regulatory standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy area to ensure a safe environment
- Provide information on pharmacy services, health products, and general health advice where appropriate
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of medication administration processes is beneficial
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service excellence
- Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment
- Organised, detail\-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality
Pay: Up to £12\.71 per hour
