Pharmacy Dispenser

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Duties

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols


• Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders


• Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, storage, and potential side effects


• Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring safety standards are maintained


• Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions


• Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations


• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies as needed


• Engage with patients courteously, offering excellent customer service and support

Experience

• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred


• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is advantageous


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications


• Experience working with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records is desirable


• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and colleague
