Pharmacy Assistant
*An exciting opportunity to work as part of a pharmacy team and contribute to the health and wellbeing of the local community*
*The Role:*
· Assembling prescriptions using barcode scanning technology
· Serving patients \& customers
· Answering the telephone to deal with prescription requests and queries
· Receipt and handling of medicines
As an aspect of the role is the selling and recommendation of medicines you will be required to complete an accredited training programme on the treatment of common ailments with *‘over\-the\-counter’* medicines.
There may be the potential for further development in the future if the candidate demonstrates the required skills and work ethic for additional qualifications.

· Reliable, enthusiastic, respectful, and have a pleasant personality.
· Possess great communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
· Ability to work well in a team.
· Attentive to detail and be able to work accurately even when under pressure.
· Maintain confidentiality of patient information
*Working Hours:*
The pharmacy is open on weekdays from 9am to 6pm and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
The vacancy is for a full time equivalent but applications for both full and part time hours will be considered. Saturday mornings are worked according to a staff rota.

The pharmacy has a substantial dispensing business utilising robotics and technology to process prescriptions. The staff team comprises of pharmacists, technicians, dispensing assistants, pharmacy assistants, administration staff and delivery drivers.
