Personal Care Assistant

A 42 year old man with MS, living in the west of Edinburgh, is recruiting to join his team of friendly personal assistants, to help him with personal care, domestic and social support and to live independently in his own home. (day shift)
The team covers support 24/7\. The hours are 15\+hours per week. You will be asked to provide cover for holidays and sickness.
The employer is mentally very able but will require assistance with all aspects of daily living. He cannot weight bear and uses a wheelchair and a hoist for transfers. (Training will be given).
It is important to say that the employer is a smoker.
He has an excellent sense of humour and appreciates when others do too. He enjoys most kinds of music from AC/DC to classical.
Previous experience supporting someone with a disability is required. It is also most important that you are a caring person with good communication and listening skills and who would be most concerned with the safety and happiness of your employer.
- You must be reliable, trustworthy and punctual, in order that his daily and nightly routine runs smoothly.
