People & Office Manager

You’ll be responsible for creating a positive, organised and compliant workplace that enables people and teams to do their best work. You'll play a key role in supporting colleagues throughout their journey with us, from recruitment and onboarding through to development, wellbeing and engagement, while ensuring our offices and workplace systems run smoothly.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a CIPD Level 3 qualified People professional looking to broaden their experience and develop towards a Level 5 People Advisor career path with funded training.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading our people processes from recruitment and onboarding through to employee development and offboarding.
- Creating a positive employee environment by supporting wellbeing initiatives, engagement activities and a culture where people feel valued, informed and supported.
- Coordinating performance reviews, probation reviews, learning and development activities, helping managers and employees do their best work.
- Acting as the first point of contact for day\-to\-day people queries, providing practical guidance and ensuring policies and procedures are applied consistently.
- Maintaining accurate employee records, people systems and compliance documentation, ensuring we meet our legal and organisational obligations.
- Prepare payroll information and administer employee benefits schemes.
- Supporting Health \& Safety, remote working, safeguarding, GDPR and other workplace compliance activities across the organisation.
- Producing reports and people insights that help managers make informed decisions and continuously improve the employee experience.
- Managing office operations, facilities, suppliers and equipment to ensure our workplace remains organised, efficient and welcoming.
- Coordinating company\-wide activities such as inductions, work anniversaries, staff recognition, employee communications and office events.
What we offer:
- Salary of £36,000 per annum
- Full‑time role, 37\.5 hours per week, 8:30am \- 4:30pm, Monday – Friday, 30min lunch break each day
- 29 days holiday, including bank holidays, with an increasing allowance over time
- Funded training pathway to CIPD Level 5 People Advisor

- Experience in a People, HR, Office Management or Operations role
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Strong understanding of employment practices and people processes, communication and relationship\-building abilities
- CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards qualification, with an interest in developing a career in People Management and desire to progress towards CIPD Level 5 through practical experience and professional development.
- A proactive, solutions\-focused approach
- Confidence managing confidential information
- Experience using HR and business systems
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365
