Recruitment for our 30th July 2026 Driver Training Course
Successful applicants should expect to start work from October 2026 onwards, subject to licensing, pre\-employment checks and vehicle preparation.

- Parents or guardians needing to take their own children to school.
- Anyone unable to work Monday to Friday (AM \& PM shifts).
- Candidates looking for full\-time hours.
Our next 1\-day Private Hire Driver Training Course takes place on 30th July 2026.
From completing the course to being fully licensed typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on DBS, medical and licensing processing times.
Following licensing, we also need time to prepare, plate and allocate new company vehicles before drivers can begin work.
Successful applicants attending the July course should therefore expect to start work from roughly October 2026 onwards.

Techxi is looking for caring, reliable and professional drivers to join our team, transporting children and adults with additional needs safely to and from school.
This is a rewarding, structured role that offers consistent weekday work during term time, with the flexibility of overtime and all school holidays off.
What You'll Do
- Safely transport passengers between home and school.
- Provide a calm, friendly and professional service.
- Work alongside a Passenger Assistant.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Maintain a clean and well\-presented pool vehicle.
- Build positive relationships with passengers, parents, schools and colleagues.
- Deliver a safe, reliable and punctual service every day.
Morning Run
- Engine start: Approximately 7:00am
- Collect Passenger Assistant.
- Collect passengers.
- Arrive at school between 8:00am–8:45am.
- Drop Passenger Assistant home.
- Finish approximately 9:00am–10:00am.
- Engine restart: Approximately 2:00pm–2:30pm.
- Collect Passenger Assistant.
- Collect passengers from school.
- Drop passengers home.
- Drop Passenger Assistant home.
- Finish approximately 4:00pm–5:00pm.
Pay \& Hours (From September 2026\)
Hourly Pay
- Base Rate: £12\.90
- Rolled\-up Holiday Pay: £1\.56
- Total Hourly Rate: £14\.46
- Typically 15–30 hours per week.
- Term Time Only.
- Monday to Friday split shifts.
- Overtime regularly available:
- Between school runs.
- Weekends.
- School holidays.
- Full UK Driving Licence (held for at least 2 years).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to complete:
- Enhanced DBS Check.
- Group 2 Medical.
- 1\-Day Private Hire Driver Training Course.

- Vehicles are assigned based on the needs of the school run. The biggest vehicle available is an 8 seater mini van, the smallest is 4 seater family car. Are you comfortable driving a van sized vehicle?
- Fleet Insurance covers ages 24\-75, are you within this range?
- Are you able to attend a 1 day course in Wolverhampton?
- You understand the role is TTO and runs from September to July and that overtime can still be available, outside of term times?
- School runs are typically between 15\-30 hours per week. Are you aiming to be at the Higher or Lower end of this scale?
