You will work closely with our team to develop, test, and refine electronic hardware and firmware, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Duties
- Design and develop electronic circuits and systems.
- Create detailed schematics and layout diagrams for PCB manufacturing.
- Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or performance issues.
- Develop firmware and embedded software using C\+\+, Python.
- Perform system testing and validation through simulation, and debugging.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems into mechanical designs.
- Help in placing orders and manufacturing, inspecting and testing the electronics.
- Device assembly, testing, calibration and normalisation.
- experience in optical sensors.
- Proven experience in electrical engineering with a focus on system design, schematic creation, and circuit analysis.
- Hands\-on experience with firmware development using C\+\+, Python, MATLAB, or Perl for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) soldering techniques and PCB fabrication processes.
- Strong understanding of microcontrollers (ARM architecture), signal processing, debugging tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience working with SoC components and performing root cause analysis on complex electronic systems.
Pay: £1,000\.00\-£2,000\.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Edinburgh EH2 4AN
