Are you an experienced Paraplanner who takes pride in doing things properly?

Do you enjoy the technical side of financial planning, have a strong eye for detail and take personal responsibility for producing high\-quality work?

At Informed Financial Planning, we're looking for someone who combines technical ability with a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to deliver great outcomes for clients.

We're an independent, Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Yorkshire, established in 2004\. For more than 20 years, we've helped individuals, families and business owners make informed decisions about their financial futures.

Our vision is simple:

Changing Lives for the Better.

If you're looking for a role where your work genuinely matters and where you can build a long\-term career with a team that cares about doing things well, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Paraplanner, you'll work closely with our Financial Planners to deliver the new business journey from research through to recommendation and implementation.

You'll be responsible for producing high\-quality suitability reports, carrying out research, preparing technical information, completing calculations, obtaining provider information and ensuring business is submitted accurately and on time.

You'll also make sure client files are complete, compliant and technically accurate, while identifying and removing anything that could delay the advice process.

This is a role where accuracy, ownership and getting things done really matter.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing financial planning and suitability reports and client correspondence

  • Carrying out research to support recommendations and good client outcomes

  • Ensuring client files are complete, accurate and compliant

  • Obtaining illustrations, valuations and information from product providers

  • Completing and checking tax calculations where required

  • Preparing and submitting new business accurately and within agreed timescales

  • Managing your workload and meeting deadlines

  • Following IFP processes and workflows

  • Working closely with Financial Planners, colleagues, providers and professional partners

  • Supporting colleagues through knowledge sharing and guidance where appropriate

  • Maintaining your CPD and working within our T\&C framework and Consumer Duty requirements
About You

Previous paraplanning experience is essential.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience working as a Paraplanner

  • CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high\-quality work

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A strong work ethic and a proactive approach

  • The ability to take ownership and meet deadlines without needing to be chased

  • Excellent Microsoft 365 skills

  • Intelligent Office experience would be advantageous
You'll fit well at IFP if you're someone who spots problems before they become issues, is willing to roll up your sleeves when needed and enjoys working collaboratively with others.

Technical ability is important, but so are attitude, reliability and pride in your work.
