Overview

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to join our growing Operations team as an Out Of Hours Operations Support.

This is a fast\-paced and rewarding role within a busy same\-day logistics environment, supporting national customers and ensuring our operations continue to run smoothly outside of standard business hours.

This position offers hybrid working; however, applicants must be based locally to Devizes to allow for in\-office training, team collaboration, and ongoing updates regarding customer requirements and operational processes.

This role would suit someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem\-solving, communicates confidently, and can work independently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing multiple operational email inboxes


• Handling customer enquiries via phone and email professionally


• Allocating and monitoring courier work across the UK


• Tracking collections and deliveries to ensure SLA performance


• Liaising with drivers, suppliers, and customers regarding live operational updates


• Pricing and quoting transport requirements


• Monitoring our Transport Management System to ensure jobs remain on track


• Prioritising workloads effectively in a fast\-moving operational environment


• Supporting the wider operations team with out\-of\-hours coverage

• Strong IT and computer system skills


• Excellent communication and telephone manner


• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail


• Ability to prioritise workloads and make confident decisions


• Self\-motivated with the ability to work independently


• A positive attitude and willingness to learn quickly

Previous experience within logistics, transport, customer service, operations, or a fast\-paced office environment would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
