We are seeking a kind, caring and compassionate Care Professional to join our small, local and committed team.
In this role you will provide crucial support to customers in their own homes. We take recruitment seriously and care for our staff as much as we do our customers. Ensuring your comfort, safety and well\-being at work is one of our primary objectives as a high quality care provider.
Our motto is "On target for quality care" and you will be responsible for providing care and support of outstanding quality to people who need it most. Based in Devizes, Melksham and their surrounding towns and villages, your main role will be assisting customers with daily living activities such as shopping, attending social activities or GP appointments and helping to maintain their home.
Care at home is very important as it allows customers to access the care and support they need to live independently without having to leave their home or move into a residential care setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support customers in their individual care plans, ensuring their specific needs are met.
- Communicate effectively with customers, their family circle, healthcare professionals and the Arrow Care Services team to provide updates on customer progress and needs.
- Drive customers to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation whilst promoting independence to lead a happy, fulfilled life.
- Maintain accurate digital and written records of care that is provided to our customers
- Report any changes in a customer's needs or any changes in their condition.
- Engage customers in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well\-being.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for customers by adhering to health and safety regulations and helping with home tasks such as dusting and hoovering.
- Make a positive impact on the lives of our customers and their families or friends.
- Previous experience in caring for a family member or friend, within a care home or a care at home setting is preferred but not essential, full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with customers, their friends, families and the Arrow Care Services team.
- Basic IT skills are necessary for entering and maintaining detailed records.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- A kind and caring attitude with a commitment to providing consistent high\-quality care to individuals in need.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various situations that may arise.
