As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead the day\-to\-day operation of the business while reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the overall performance of the company.
The Operations Director will lead the senior management team and ensure every department operates efficiently, collaboratively and profitably.
The role is focused on leadership, systems, accountability and performance—not day\-to\-day project management.
The successful candidate will oversee the entire BuildTech operation, including:
- Pre\-construction
- Design
- Procurement
- Construction
- Commercial performance

Reporting to:
Board of Directors

- Construction Manager
- Technical Director
- Commercial Manager

Lead the senior management team.
Develop a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.
Ensure each department is performing to agreed KPIs.
Operational Management
Take responsibility for the day\-to\-day running of BuildTech.
Ensure all departments work together efficiently from enquiry through to project completion.
Remove operational bottlenecks before they affect project delivery.
Commercial Performance
Take ownership of:
- profitability
- cash flow
- project margins
- overhead control
Report monthly to the Board.
Construction Oversight
Provide strategic oversight of all live projects.
Support the Construction Manager in maintaining:
- programme
- quality
- productivity
- client satisfaction
Pre\-Construction
Ensure effective collaboration between:
- Sales
- Cost Planning
- Architecture
- Engineering
People Leadership
Recruit, mentor and develop senior managers.
Create a high\-performance culture.
Drive accountability throughout the organisation.
Systems \& Continuous Improvement
Improve:
- operational systems
- reporting
- KPIs
- standard operating procedures
Candidate Profile
We are looking for an experienced construction leader who combines operational expertise with strong commercial and leadership ability.
The successful candidate will likely have progressed from a construction background into senior operational management.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 20 years' experience within the construction industry.
- Significant experience managing construction teams.
- Experience leading multiple live residential projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing senior managers.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong leadership and decision\-making ability.
