A role where you can influence pupil wellbeing, enhance food education and help deliver a positive impact across the business. You will influence menu development, nutritional standards, and support training across the business whilst working closely with the company development chefs, head of food and operations team.
The role will include the following duties:
o Provide bespoke nutritional guidance for identified pupils
o Review school menus, enhance and advise on nutritional quality
o Support the team with recipe development, promoting health, wellbeing, positive food choices whilst also reflecting diverse dietary, cultural and lifestyle needs
o Support allergen management processes, including staff training and medical diet menus
o Lead practical workshops and assemblies, embedding wellbeing and food messages
o Complete audits and ensure compliance around allergens and nutrition
o Analyse recipes through nutrition software
o Support new business and mobilisations with expert dietetic and nutritional guidance
o Develop protocols, initiatives and diet policies
o Stay up to date with legislation and standards and ensure full compliance across all contracts
o Support the operations team and clients with any medical, dietary and allergen queries
o Support the sales team with any tender processors, including sales presentations
o Manage and coordinate the company nutritionist helpline and associated online nutritionist content via internal platforms
Skills/Experience Required:
o Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist with a recognised Dietetics/Nutrition qualification essential
o Strong skills in menu analysis and recipe development
o Experience working with catering teams required
o Experience working with clients, pupils and parents is advantageous
o Experience of working within the catering/hospitality sector is advantageous
o Previous experience in staff training and development advantageous
o Confident communicator who can deliver training and influence operational teams
o Good attention to detail
o Good presentation skills
o Ability to articulate and to confidently present to all levels of management and colleagues
o A ‘can do’ attitude, prepared to assist the rest of the team
o Computer literate with keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft packages
o Flexibility is required as you may be asked to work earlier or later than your normal working hours on occasion
o A full UK Driving Licence is required
o Able and willing to travel across the operational area, predominantly the North of England
It will be necessary for the company to apply for a DBS check at the commencement of employment.
