Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day
Job Overview:
Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced and caring Nursery Teaching Assistants to work across nursery and Early Years settings in Somerset. As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will support young children with their learning, development and day to day activities, helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. Experience supporting children with SEN would be ideal, although this is not the main focus of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with learning, play and creative activities.
- Encourage communication, language development and early learning skills.
- Support children's social interaction, confidence and independence.
- Provide additional support to children with SEN and additional needs where required.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating nursery environment.
- Work alongside teachers, nursery practitioners and other staff to support children's development.
- Previous experience working as a Nursery Teaching Assistant or within a relevant Early Years setting is required.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs would be ideal.
- Good understanding of Early Years learning and child development.
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Reliable daily pay in line with framework guidelines.
- Dedicated consultant supporting you throughout your placement.
