Junior Commercial Counsel - 0-2 PQE - South West - Flexible

This role offers the opportunity to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across a diverse range of strategic and operational matters.

We are seeking a commercially minded Solicitor to join a high-performing Legal Team within a leading consumer-facing business

Description

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial contracts, including supply, technology, logistics and services agreements.


• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across the business.


• Support strategic procurement projects, supplier negotiations and key commercial initiatives.


• Identify, assess and manage legal and commercial risks to support informed decision-making.


• Advise on data protection, privacy and information governance matters.


• Provide guidance on regulatory, consumer, competition and intellectual property issues.


• Develop, maintain and improve contract templates, standard terms and legal playbooks.


• Manage pre-litigation disputes and liaise with external legal advisers where required.


• Deliver training and guidance to stakeholders on legal, contractual and compliance matters.


• Drive continuous improvement across legal processes, promoting efficiency, consistency and best practice..

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.


• Proven experience advising on commercial legal matters, either in private practice or in-house.


• Strong commercial contracts expertise with excellent drafting and negotiation skills.


• Demonstrable ability to balance legal risk against commercial priorities.


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.

• Hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Ideally 2 days in the office, however, depending on locality there is flexibility with in this. Coomutable from Exeter, Taunton, Wiltshire or South Bristol.
