Nursery Room Leader

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to oversee the daily operations of our nursery environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating atmosphere for young children, ensuring high standards of childcare and early childhood education. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursery staff to ensure the delivery of quality childcare and early childhood education.


• Plan, organise, and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development.


• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.


• Foster strong communication with parents and carers regarding children's progress and wellbeing.


• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies.


• Support the professional development of team members through mentoring and training.


• Manage daily routines including meal times, naps, and play sessions to ensure smooth operation of the nursery.


• Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting.

• Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood setting.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.


• Extensive experience working directly with children in childcare or nursery environments.


• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.


• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.


• Childcare qualifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent).


• Valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate any organisational needs outside the nursery setting.
