Our Brighton Road Day Nursery in Surbiton is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

Brighton Road is a beautiful newly refurbished nursery set amongst 2 buildings in a lovely area of Surbiton.

We have outdoor space for all ages to use daily.

At Brighton Road we offer Extracurricular activities such as Early Years P.E, Tribal Football/Teddy Tennis and Billingual Beats. Our Pre\-school children go and visit the local residential home monthly, where they partake in activities, have stories and sing songs, giving back to the local community.

Brighton Road had their Eco\- School Accreditation and the children all give back by litter picking, holding toy/clothes sales, planting fruit and vegetable and recycling, making us more sustainable and lowering our Carbon Footprint.

We hold regular Stay and Play sessions, parents evening and Summer and Winter parties. We have a yearly Sports Day with our Pre\-school children.

Once our little ones fly the nest and move onto their next adventure, we celebrate with their own Graduation Ceremony.

Location and Travel

Close to Surbiton train station at a 9\-minute walk, train links to London. Different bus routes within a short 4\-minute walk.

What will you be doing

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery


• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day\-to\-day duties


• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms


• Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately


• Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)


• Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child


• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers


• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff


• Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
