NPD TECHNOLOGIST

Are you passionate about food innovation and ready to play a key role in bringing new products to market?

We are looking for a proactive and detail\-focused Development Technologist to join our NPD team and support the successful delivery of new and existing product development projects from concept through to launch.

Reporting to the NPD Manager, you will work across branded and own\-label projects, supporting sample development, product documentation, packaging and artwork approvals, and launch coordination. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast\-paced food manufacturing environment and wants to build a career in product development.

Hours of work:

Your normal working pattern will be as follows:

Monday – Friday \- 8\.30am to 5\.00pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, equating to 40 hours per week.

Rate of pay: £27,976 per annum.

Key responsibilities include:

Quality assessments of product from Factory Trials and Launches

Support product development projects from concept to launch

Prepare and coordinate customer samples and submissions

Complete product documentation, specifications and approval paperwork accurately

Assist with artwork, packaging approvals, trials and launch activity

Work closely with NPD, Technical, Operations and Supply Chain teams

Ensure compliance with food safety, quality and customer requirements

What we’re looking for:

A qualification in Food Science, Nutrition or a related discipline

Experience in a food manufacturing or NPD environment

Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage deadlines

Excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills

A collaborative approach and confidence working across teams

Packaging development or legal labelling knowledge would be an advantage
