Night Mental Health Support Worker

We provide modern, single\-occupancy apartments with 24\-hour on\-site support for individuals who require enhanced accommodation as part of their aftercare and recovery journey.

The Role
We are currently looking for a Night Mental Health Support Worker to join our accommodation\-based service in Hereford, providing 24/7 housing and support for vulnerable adults with long\-term mental health difficulties.
You will be a key point of contact for residents during your shift, offering calm, non\-judgemental support and ensuring the safety and security of the service. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for residents during your shift
- Checking for immediate risks and responding appropriately
- Listening with empathy, providing reassurance and encouraging self\-help or professional support
- Liaising with external agencies to ensure effective communication and continuity of care
- Maintaining accurate fire and safety logs of individuals present in the building
- Carrying out regular health and safety checks and walkarounds
- Monitoring in\-house CCTV where required
- Using sound judgement to de\-escalate situations, seeking support from colleagues or emergency services when necessary
