Theatre Team Leader (INTERNAL)
The Team Leader within Theatre Services will be responsible for the operational management of the agreed specialty/area within the Operating Theatre Service.
This includes day\-to\-day coordination, supervision, and leadership of staff across both Main and Day Surgery Theatres.
They will deputise for the Band 7 Team Leader/Senior Sister, ensuring the delivery of safe, high\-quality, and compassionate perioperative care.
This encompasses staff management, clinical oversight, adherence to policies, and fostering a supportive learning environment for staff and students.
The post holder will demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning and decision\-making, maintain expert knowledge of perioperative practice, and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and service efficiency.
Lead and manage a theatre team, including cross\-cover for both DSU and Main Theatres.
Act as theatre coordinator when required, ensuring smooth and efficient running of daily theatre lists.
Support operational management of elective and emergency theatre lists.
Provide visible clinical leadership and act as a role model for high professional standards.
Deputise for the Band 7 in their absence.
Promote collaborative working across theatres and with the wider multidisciplinary team.
Contribute to demand, capacity, and workforce planning through collection and analysis of activity data
