An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Biologics Team in the Rheumatology Department providing comprehensive administrative support. This is a six month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity.

This is a varied and exciting role supporting a busy team. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, organised and can work well on their own or as part of a team.

The successful candidate will require excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to demonstrate the ability to work self\-sufficiently, to use their own initiative and be willing to be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the service. The individual must also have the ability to work well under pressure and have the desire to provide a first class service for patients and the clinical team.

The Rheumatology Treatment Coordinator supports the Clinical Team by leading and coordinating the Rheumatology Biologics MDT, dealing with patient telephone queries, applying for treatment funding, Homecare prescription management and maintaining a database. You will be responsible for managing and prioritising the workload of the team in addition to managing your own workload. You will be responsible for supervising the Band 3 Assistant Coordinators in the team. This role is based in the Rheumatology Biologics department but there will need to be flexibility in working throughout the Department as service needs require.
