Night Carer

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our friendly team, providing high\-quality care and support to residents within our care home.

This role is initially offered as maternity cover on a temporary basis; however, there may be the opportunity for a permanent position for the right candidate.

Hours

• 12 hours per week


• 12\-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, and mealtimes


• Delivering person\-centred care in accordance with individual care plans


• Promoting the comfort, dignity, independence, and wellbeing of residents


• Communicating effectively with residents, relatives, and colleagues


• Maintaining accurate records using IT systems and documentation processes


• Supporting the smooth running of the home through a flexible and team\-focused approach

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within a care home environment


• Good communication skills and a good standard of spoken and written English


• A caring, reliable, and compassionate nature


• Flexibility to cover sickness and annual leave, including occasional short\-notice shifts

Desirable

• Medication administration experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided
