We are looking for an experienced Care Worker with experiences working in similar settings or qualification at NVQ/SVQ Level 2\+ to work in Alpine Villa Residential home in Melksham Wiltshire. The roles involved working nights with some day shift as required, providing high quality care to all residents under the direction of the care manager. You will be expected to instruct, support, mentor and act as a role model for new and existing care assistant. To assist residents with their personal hygiene needs like washing, oral hygiene (including dental care), foot care, using the toilet (including the use of commodes and emptying the catheter bags), shaving, brushing and etc. To undertake moving and handling task in accordance with national guidelines, legal requirements and the residential/nursing home policies and procedures. You will be responsible in making a difference to the lives of older people and adults with disability showing courtesy and respect while maintaining good working relation. To contribute toward residents personal and social activities, liaising with the activities organizer. An enhanced DBS is required. Routinely oversees and monitors care workers and home carers; takes responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty; responds to emergencies and provides guidance and support to care workers; assists and enables service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe; serves meals to service users at table or in bed, assists with feeding if required; generally assists with service users‟ overall comfort and wellbeing; provides interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user; helps with daily activities undertakes cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required; monitors service users‟ conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping; liaises with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc.
