As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented engineer to help bridge today’s critical network security operations with tomorrow’s AI\-powered innovations.

Role Overview

This is a hybrid role combining hands\-on network security engineering with forward\-looking innovation in AI.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining and optimising secure, high\-availability client networks, while also contributing to the design and development of intelligent, AI\-enhanced security systems.

Working across both customer environments and internal projects, you’ll help ensure our clients remain ROCSOLID, while supporting the evolution of next\-generation, AI\-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise Cisco\-based security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and secure WAN environments

  • Conduct proactive threat detection using XDR and participate in SOC operations to analyze and respond to security events, with occasional fieldwork as needed.

  • Perform network upgrades, patching, and maintenance (including occasional out\-of\-hours work where required)

  • Collaborate with field engineers on client sites to support installations and troubleshooting

  • Support and enhance secure connectivity across multi\-site client environments

  • Contribute to the design and development of AI\-driven security solutions and intelligent automation systems

  • Work closely with internal teams to improve visibility, resilience, and performance across networks
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Networking, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Cisco CCNP certification (or equivalent hands\-on experience with Cisco security technologies)

  • Strong experience in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and secure infrastructure

  • Genuine interest in AI and its application within cybersecurity and network operations

  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required

  • Right to work in Ireland is essential
