The Role
We are seeking a high\-energy, self\-motivated National Business Development Manager with a deep background in the motor trade.
In this consultative field sales role, you will operate as a modern "travelling salesman"—managing your own national territory, controlling your own diary, and building lasting partnerships with independent car dealers. You will identify dealer pain points, align them with our comprehensive suite of products, and manage the end\-to\-end territory growth: from initial cold or warm contact to onboarding the dealer as a permanent Q\-Finance ecosystem partner.
Core Responsibilities
- Territory Growth Management: Build, scale, and manage a highly profitable nationwide patch. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of the dealer relationship—identifying prospects, pitching, and seamlessly onboarding them as lasting Q\-Finance partners.
- Lead Generation \& Appointment Setting: Confidently identify, approach, and secure meetings with independent car dealers using a strategic mix of cold prospecting and warm leads.
- Consultative "One\-Stop" Selling: Introduce and pitch a comprehensive portfolio of Q\-Finance products and services, including:
- Unrivaled Motor Finance Panel: Access to a premier lending panel of over 30\+ prime to sub\-prime funders, allowing dealers to approve more customers, boost vehicle sales, and drive long\-term consumer loyalty.
- FCA Compliance \& Integration Assistance: Guiding dealers through the regulatory landscape by offering robust FCA integration support via Appointed Representative (AR) or Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) methods, ensuring their finance operations are fully compliant.
- Motor Stocking Loan Facilities (Forecourt funding solutions).
- Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and software integration.
- Website Enhancement Offerings (Digital showroom tools).
- Warranty Products and consumer financial services.
- Relationship \& Account Management: Move beyond the initial transaction to serve as a dedicated account manager, ensuring dealers maximize our tools and continuously adopt new services as they grow.
This role requires a rare blend of motor trade credibility and the classic, hunger\-driven instincts of an elite field sales professional.

- Proven Field Sales \& Prospecting Grit: A track record of successfully opening doors via cold calling, field prospecting, and turning warm data into face\-to\-face appointments.
- Multi\-Product Pitching Ability: The mental agility to pivot between selling a complex financial facility (stocking loans or a multi\-funder lending panel) to a digital tech solution (DMS/Websites) in a single conversation.
- Resilience \& Self\-Motivation: As a nationwide traveling professional, you must possess the internal drive to stay focused and high\-performing while spending time on the road.
