Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice\-trained, experienced CNC Machinist (Turner/Mill\-Turn) . At Moog, we're focused on the customer and for us, this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high\-profile. Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate multiple CNC machines/processes.


• Perform first\-off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.


• Capability and competent in setting up and using machine tools


• Carry out own 1st off inspection and check/complete the necessary quality documentation


• Proven experience in a machine shop environment


• Competent in setting up and using machine tools


• Confident in using precision measurement equipment.

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.


• Previous experience in an engineering/manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry.


• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and appropriate tooling.


• Proven skills in a multi\-axis/complex machining environment.


• Attention to detail, accuracy, and process improvement techniques.


• Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques/equipment to achieve drawing tolerances.


• Over 5 years experience on different mill/turn CNC machines (Okuma , Mazak , Lathe, DMG , Matsura, Puma)

This role follows a day shift pattern and may in the future lead to a 6\.00am \- 2\.00pm. 2\.00pm \- 10\.00pm or 10\.00pm \- 6\.00am shift pattern.

Candidates must be self\-certified and hold a quality stamp after the qualifying period.

Security Clearance

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role.
