We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) to join our Kier Mechanical \& Electrical team.
Location: Basingstoke (Covering projects in the south)
Hours: Full Time Permanent \- some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
As a Quantity Surveyor (MEPH), you'll play a vital role in managing the commercial aspects of our projects, working within a supportive and collaborative environment. You'll be responsible for maximising project profitability whilst building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues. What will you be responsible for?
As a Quantity Surveyor (MEPH), you'll be working within the Kier Mechanical \& Electrical team, supporting them in delivering complex and challenging projects. Your day to day will include:
- Managing the commercial resources of assigned projects to maximise planned gross margin through contract placement and control
- Undertaking procurement activities including subcontract enquiries, tender reviews, and order production
- Valuation and measuring of change, alongside producing monthly cost reports and commercial plans
- Managing risk and opportunity reporting, producing margin improvement plans to drive profitability
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project team members
This role of Quantity Surveyor (MEPH) is great for you if:
- You're qualified at degree level or HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying (or have suitable experience)
- You have a clear understanding of main forms of contract such as JCT and NEC
- You possess technical understanding of MEPH services and how packages interface with each other
- You're organised, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail
- You hold a Full driving licence, SMSTS/CSCS card, and are competent in Microsoft Office
