Mental Health Crisis Worker (Crisis Safe Space)

Location: Bridgwater \& Wells CSS office

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £27,098 pro\-rata per annum (Pro rata \- £12,084\.24\)

Hours:16\.5 hours per week, comprising 3 evening shifts per week (5\.5 hours per shift).

The successful post holder will work in person across our Wells and Bridgwater Crisis Safe Space services. They may choose either Wells or Bridgwater as their main base, and travel expenses between the two locations will be reimbursed in line with our travel policy.

The weekly shift pattern is:

Saturday: 5:30pm–11:00pm – Bridgwater (in person)

Monday: 5:30pm–11:00pm – Wells (in person)

Wednesday: 5:30pm–11:00pm – Wells (in person)

Flexibility is required, as there may occasionally be changes to the rota to meet service needs.

Job share opportunities: We are happy to consider a job share arrangement. Applications are welcome from candidates who wish to work the Bridgwater shift only or the Wells shifts only, as well as those interested in the full 16\.5\-hour post.

If this sounds like you, you may be the person we are looking for! We are seeking Mental Health Crisis Workers to work in our Crisis Safe Space provisions in Sedgemoor.

The Crisis Safe Space service operates 7 nights per week (5\.30 – 11:00pm) in our Sedgemoor premises. We provide a safe, welcoming, comfortable place for people experiencing acute emotional distress to receive the support they need We also work with our Open Mental Health partners to seek further support as required.

About you:

You will need to:

  • Have experience supporting people with complex needs, including mental health

  • Be a great communicator

  • Be great at building trust with those you work with

  • Have a driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the geography of the area
