Job overview:

We’re seeking a dynamic Clinical Operations Manager to join our team at AXA Health. In this key role, you'll lead and develop a multi\-disciplinary team across multiple sites, ensuring the delivery of exceptional clinical psychological services and mental health support. Your main focus will be to provide first class assistance to members and their families or carers. You'll also play a crucial role in managing complex mental health claims, refining operational processes and driving continuous improvements in service quality and outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a multi\-disciplinary clinical team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Manage complex mental health claims proactively across the entire treatment episode, ensuring appropriate support and referral.

  • Oversee a specialist helpline providing psychological and emotional support to members and their families or carers.

  • Ensure robust processes for early identification, referral and medical assessment of claims, supporting operational efficiency.

  • Participate in Medical Advisory Team decisions, escalating complex queries and promoting knowledge sharing.

  • Deliver insightful reports on productivity, customer satisfaction and claims cost reduction whilst managing complaints promptly.

  • Implement quality and governance frameworks to ensure case management accuracy, mitigate risks and ensure compliance.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on clinical governance, risk management, budget control and delivery of wellness programs.
Work arrangements:

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your skills \& experience:

  • Registered or licensed clinician (e.g. Psychologist, Nurse) with a relevant degree and extensive experience managing large, multi\-site clinical teams.

  • Experience in a role requiring Level 4 safeguarding trained, with proven expertise in clinical risk management and governance at both individual and systemic levels.

  • Strategic thinker with strong vision, drive and commercial awareness to support business goals.

  • Relationship management, leadership and influencing skills across all levels and functions.

  • Confident decision\-maker capable of articulating complex issues to diverse stakeholders, including customers, specialists and external partners.

  • Proven track record of delivering results, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Effective communicator at all levels with credibility and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of the clinical, regulatory and market environment, including FCA, CQC, GDPR and statutory services.

  • Experience of operational leadership of a large team of clinicians and non\-clinicians providing virtual support to patients and families.
