Membership Consultant

Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Membership Consultant to join our gym team. This varied role includes assisting members, managing memberships and enquiries, supporting daily gym operations, promoting services, and helping create a welcoming and motivating environment for all members.

Duties

• Welcoming members and visitors in a professional manner


• Assisting with memberships, new members, and member enquiries


• Providing excellent customer service and member support


• Carrying out sales calls, follow\-ups, and email correspondence


• Processing payments and handling till transactions


• Opening and closing the gym


• Completing general admin and reception duties


• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene


• Carrying out daily cleaning and basic maintenance tasks


• Supporting members with the safe use of gym equipment


• Monitoring the gym floor and maintaining a positive environment


• Promoting gym services, memberships, and social media marketing activitiies

Required:

• Experience in an administrative, reception, or customer service role


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Basic computer and email knowledge


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Reliable, organised, and professional attitude


• Has a natural sales ability and prides themselves on selling with integrity


• Organised – you are able to keep on top of your leads and follow up


• Target driven with a desire and passion to exceed targets


• Energetic, proactive with a positive outlook and a 'can\-do' attitude


• Approachable and able to make prospective and existing members feel at ease


• Personable with a sense of humour, even under pressure!

• Level 2 or Level 3 Fitness/Gym Instructor qualification


• Previous experience working in a gym, fitness, sales, or membership environment


• Experience in marketing, sales, or customer engagement


• Confidence making sales calls and promoting memberships/services


• Health, Fitness and Leisure Industry knowledge

Additional Information

Part time position. Exact working hours will be determined, but will scheduled across mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Interviews will be held on Wednesday 10th June 2026

Pay: £12\.71 per hour
