As a Medical Secretary your main duties will cover:

Medical audio transcription of clinical correspondence;

Carry out administrative instructions dictated in the correspondence including booking appointments via the Booking and Scheduling Department;

Update NPSA16 investigation tracker following transcription of correspondence;

Deal with internal and external telephone enquiries from patients, staff and external agencies;

Undertake routine office duties including printing, scanning and filing;

Organising your workload to meet our KPI’s.

To do this we need you to:

Be able to prioritise your workload effectively;

Pride yourself on being organised;

Have an excellent eye for detail;

Be confident using a computer and Microsoft Office;

Have an excellent telephone manner;

Be able to communicate effectively and manage patient expectation;

Strive to give our patients an excellent customer service;

Be enthusiastic, resilient, confident, and committed.
