Scope of Job:
- Daily contact with other Engineers, Harness Builders, and Management to ensure effectiveness within the daily role. Externally, the post holder will interact with customers, suppliers and other third parties (i.e. logistics services) on a frequent basis.
- Being an agile business, it will be necessary to assist with other areas of the business (such as goods\-in/out, warehousing, kitting etc.) as required.
- Ensure adequate support is given to the production, stock control, and admin functions.
- Light manual lifting required on a daily basis.
- Ensure all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- The post holder may be expected to travel and work long and unsociable hours in order to ensure that tasks are completed and/or to resolve problems.
- Performance Measures:
- To adhere and comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times to ensure that DC Electronics functions in a safe and secure environment, displaying a positive and proactive approach to own and others safety.
- Zero accident rate.
- Feedback from team and management.
- To complete all assigned tasks in accordance with company procedures in the most efficient manner using the minimum time and resource without loss of accuracy and quality.
- All tasks completed on time and in full.

- Accurate designs and related details produced, with all necessary

- Conduct site visits (to provide technical support) or attend trade shows, representing the company in a positive, professional manner, consistent with company standards.

- Ensure that stock movements within the warehouse are carried out in an accurate and timely manner, and that stock is located accurately.
- 100% accurate stock levels and assignment to correct storage locations in line with requirements of the stock system.
- Ensure that all work is carried out to exacting Quality standards, initiating any required action, displaying a genuine commitment to Continual Improvement.
- Feedback from team and management.
- Evidence of improvement to processes derived from team commitment to CI.
- Quality issues are investigated thoroughly and action taken to remove or reduce the likelihood of repeat.
- Willingly undertake any cross training within DC Electronics across all activities as required.

Knowledge:
- A good working knowledge of mechatronic systems.
- Able to manufacture wiring harnesses and terminate connectors.
- Understands CAN bus systems and programming.
- Makes suggestions and is always on the lookout for new ideas to improve quality.
- Acts as a gatekeeper for the company’s quality standards.
- Uses business and market knowledge to facilitate and improve business processes and products.
- Understands system(s) used in own area and can use full range of functions.
- Understands own responsibilities to work safely.
