Job Overview

Geotechnical Engineer – Essex

Endeavour Drilling Ltd. is seeking a motivated and capable Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Essex. The successful candidate will play an important role in the planning, coordination and supervision of geotechnical investigations across the East of England and wider UK.

Working alongside our experienced geotechnical team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of a diverse range of ground investigation and geo\-environmental projects, ensuring all works are undertaken safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Applications welcomed from both graduate and experienced Geotechnical Engineers.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Willingness to work away from home for both short\-term and extended periods, where required.

  • Experience in the supervision and management of:

  • Trial pitting investigations.

  • Cable percussion drilling.

  • Rotary drilling.

  • Window sampling investigations.

  • Competent in soil and rock logging in accordance with BS 5930.

  • Experience preparing factual ground investigation reports.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of technical quality and site safety.

Desirable Skills and Experience

The following qualifications, skills and experience would strengthen an application:

  • Ground investigation supervision and site management.

  • Geotechnical logging, interpretation and reporting.

  • Ground gas and groundwater monitoring.

  • Strong awareness of health, safety and environmental requirements.

  • Relevant site\-based qualifications, such as CSCS, SSSTS and First Aid, where held.

  • Experience working on infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, utilities and construction.
Pay: £25,000\.00\-£45,000\.00 per year
