Marketing, Branding and Communications Manager
We have an exciting new opportunity to lead our Marketing Team as Marketing, Branding and Communications Manager.
Logistics Solutions Ltd (LSL) is part of a wider privately owned group with over 35 years of heritage in the logistics sector. Through Crown SDS, we are widely recognised as market leaders in nationwide van courier services, supporting some of the UK’s most successful brands across retail, manufacturing, automotive, engineering and logistics.
As a result of continued growth and investment, alongside this established business we are also launching in to two new sectors. Firstly, a growing, tech\-driven business operating at the intersection of service, logistics and SaaS, delivering innovative software solutions that help organisations streamline operations, improve visibility, and drive efficiency across their business (SDS Plus). In addition, we are also launching a recruitment and staffing solution supported by candidate management (Soon As).
This role therefore gives you the opportunity to work across three exciting brands, each with distinct audiences, propositions and growth ambitions.
As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a proactive and commercially focused manager to lead \& direct the marketing team, help strengthen our market position and drive demand across the UK and beyond.
As our Marketing, Branding and Communications Manager you will be the most senior marketing person in the business, reporting to the Board of Directors. You will have ownership of helping drive marketing that ultimately drives commercial growth. You will develop and execute the marketing for all of our businesses effectively and efficiently in line with company brands \& marketing guidelines, generating and maintaining a targeted volume of quality sales leads through a devised marketing programme.
This is a team leadership role, with the ability to adapt to hands\-on marketing role where you will lead, develop, train and mentor your team, while taking ownership of campaign execution and lead generation activity. You’ll work closely with sales and product teams to translate our logistics business and software solutions into clear, compelling marketing messages.
You’ll play a key role in building brand awareness, generating qualified leads, and supporting revenue. You will be responsible for delivering creative, data\-informed marketing campaigns that respond to industry trends, and business objectives, ultimately driving revenue.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop \& execute full comprehensive business marketing plans alongside our commercial team
· Lead end\-to\-end campaign delivery from concept through to performance analysis.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, content, email, events) targeting appropriate audiences
· Managing, coaching, training and developing your marketing team to achieve business targets and deadlines
- Responsible for the teams to develop high\-quality content (case studies, whitepapers, blogs, product messaging) tailored to appropriate audiences.
- Measure \& analyse campaign performance, track KPIs, and continuously improve ROI
- Utilise marketing budgets, resources, and vendors to ensure efficient use of resources and achieve marketing objectives
- Drive lead generation through inbound and outbound marketing activity
· Participate in hands\-on delivery, remaining actively involved in day\-to\-day marketing activities
Applicant Criteria
· Strong track record of delivering, owning \& execution of a marketing function , while keeping a focus on consistent development, training, campaign execution, and team leadership
· Significant end to end product launch experience, with both launch \& review
· Proven experience leading teams, managing projects, and delivering campaigns on time and to a high standard,
· Minimum 5 years in general marketing role
· Minimum 3 years in marketing manager role with ability to take full ownership of marketing and brand , ideally combination of Logistics \& SaaS
- Strong experience in core marketing principles, practices, and techniques across digital and traditional channels
· Strong understanding \& development of lead generation and digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, email automation, social media)
· Strong commercial mindset with the ability to link marketing activity to revenue outcomes
· Confident developing, managing \& using CRM and marketing tools (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics)
· Analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
· Excellent written communication skills and ability to simplify complex concepts
· Highly organised, proactive \& driven with a level of hands\-on, while comfortable working in a growing fast paced business environment
· Experience in any of the appropriate industries desired but not essential (SaaS, technology, Recruitment or logistics sectors)
