Vehicle Telematics & CCTV Installation Engineer - Midlands Based
We are currently recruiting a Midlands\-based Vehicle Telematics / CCTV Installation Engineer to support our customers across the Midlands and surrounding areas.

The Role
This is a field\-based role, mobile role, installing, servicing and maintaining our Mobile DVR, CCTV and telematics systems on a wide range of vehicles including buses, coaches, trucks, vans and plant equipment. You’ll also carry out quality inspections to ensure every installation meets Centrad’s industry\-leading standards. This role is best suited to an engineer living in the Midlands (e.g. Staffordshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire or surrounding areas).
You’ll have everything you need to excel: a company vehicle, full set of tools, PPE, uniform and comprehensive training on our camera, DVR and telematics systems.
This is a Monday to Friday role with no weekend work. Flexibility is required for early starts or later finishes depending on customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain Centrad CCTV, Mobile DVR and telematics systems across commercial vehicles and plant equipment.
- Run electrical and system tests to ensure safe, reliable and fully functioning installations.
- Inspect vehicle electrical systems and Centrad equipment for faults, damage or safety issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot wiring, camera and telematics faults, and liaise with customers to offer solutions when required.
- Carry out quality inspections on completed installs to ensure compliance with Centrad processes and standards.
- Remove and refit vehicle trim and panels to access wiring routes and mounting points.
- Replace damaged components and fit new parts using approved Centrad procedures.
- Run full operational checks including live\-view testing, recording validation, telematics connectivity and FNOL alert verification (where applicable).
- Complete accurate job sheets, reports and photo evidence through our job management platform.
- Strong background in auto electrics or in\-vehicle installations.
- Experience with CCTV, DVRs, sensors or telematics is highly desirable.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and work independently in the field.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills, with consistently high standards of work.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
