Marketing and Fundraising Officer
We are looking for a creative, proactive and organised Marketing \& Fundraiser to help raise the profile of Yorkshire Young Farmers and secure funding to support our work across Yorkshire.
This is a varied role with a strong focus on marketing, social media, communications and grant fundraising, alongside occasional day\-to\-day administration to help keep the charity running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage our social media presence across a variety of platforms.
- Create engaging content including posts, newsletters, website content, photography, video and promotional materials.
- Develop marketing campaigns to promote our projects, events and impact.
- Research and identify grants, trusts, foundations, corporate sponsorship and other funding opportunities.
- Write compelling grant applications, expressions of interest and supporting documents.
- Maintain a funding pipeline and monitor application deadlines and reporting requirements.
- Build relationships with funders, businesses, partners and supporters.
- Collect stories, statistics and evidence to demonstrate the impact of our work.
- Help increase the charity’s profile through PR, partnerships and community engagement.
- Provide occasional day\-to\-day administrative support, including emails, maintaining records and databases, organising meetings where necessary.
- Support the wider team with events, projects and other activities as required with some evening and weekend work as our programme is varied and often out of hours.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- A confident and creative communicator with excellent writing and teamwork skills.
- Experienced or enthusiastic about social media and digital marketing with prior experience of running social media profiles on platforms \- Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok etc
- Able to research funding opportunities and write persuasive applications.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proactive, with the ability to work independently and bring new ideas.
- Comfortable with day\-to\-day administration and using Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
