MOR is a growing independent bakery and kitchen focused on great bakes, seasonal food, thoughtful sourcing and exceptional coffee.

We want every MOR site to be busy, well run and known for consistently high standards. Every detail matters, from the first coffee of the morning to the last plate leaving the kitchen.

MOR Stratford was our first café and remains an important part of the business. We are now looking for an experienced Site Manager to build on its strong foundations and lead it into its next chapter.

The role

This is an opportunity to take over an established, high\-performing site with a stable team and a loyal customer base.

It is not simply a maintenance role. We are looking for someone who will take genuine ownership of the café, develop the team and continue raising standards across service, coffee and day\-to\-day operations.

You will be responsible for the overall running and commercial performance of the site, leading from the floor and ensuring excellent coordination between front of house and the kitchen.

What you’ll be doingLeading service

  • Lead busy services from the floor

  • Set the pace, energy and expectations for the team

  • Deliver warm, attentive and efficient table service

  • Ensure smooth communication between front of house and the kitchen

  • Maintain high standards, even during the busiest periods
Leading the team
  • Recruit, train, support and develop your team

  • Create a positive culture built around accountability and teamwork

  • Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback

  • Address issues promptly, fairly and directly

  • Help individuals grow in confidence and responsibility
Managing operations
  • Take ownership of rotas, staffing levels and daily organisation

  • Manage stock, ordering and waste

  • Ensure opening, closing and compliance procedures are consistently followed

  • Keep the site clean, organised and ready for service

  • Identify problems early and put practical solutions in place
Driving commercial performance
  • Understand and manage labour costs in relation to turnover

  • Monitor sales, stock, wastage and controllable costs

  • Identify opportunities to grow sales and improve efficiency

  • Take ownership of the site’s overall performance without compromising quality or hospitality
What we’re looking for
  • Experience managing a busy café, restaurant or hospitality site

  • A strong understanding of table service and service flow

  • Good coffee and barista knowledge

  • A confident leader who takes ownership and sets the standard

  • Calm, decisive and organised under pressure

  • High attention to detail across every area of the site

  • Confidence managing both people and commercial performance

  • A practical, hands\-on approach and a genuine enjoyment of hospitality
