Male Support Worker

We are looking for a male staff member following preferences of the Service User, who can build trust, develop lives, empower people and inspire passion. Is that you?

Blue Sky Enabling has an exciting job opportunity for an experienced Support Worker in Calne . Shifts will be based in a supported living environment within the individual home of a male person who accesses support. You will be working independently in a person\-centred way, supporting a young man with additional needs and some behaviours that may be challenging, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and independence.

Shifts are 24hrs and include a sleep\-in, based on a 6 week rota.

There will be an opportunity to pick up shifts at other services to cover sickness and Annual Leave and Training .

As part of our collaborative teams, you will be supporting each person to live a life of their own choosing, whilst providing them with clear guidance in accordance with their individual support plans and PBSPs.

You will support them to engage in appropriate community activities, do shopping, go out to cafés, have fun and participate in indoor and outdoor leisure activities. You will encourage and support them to maintain a healthy diet and will promote their health and wellbeing. You will enable them to live full and active lives, respecting issues around capacity to make their own individual decisions, equality and dignity.

You will be supported to maintain training relevant to this role.

You must be able to commute to and from the service user's home to meet shift start times. You must be fluent in English, and preference will be given to applicants where English is their first language.

Pay: £245\.65 per day
