Our Frankfurt Operations

- We are looking for a Maintenance Technician(Hausmeister)
- You will report to the Unit Manager/Deputy Unit Manager
Operational Management
- Monitoring and maintenance of the company buildings and outdoor facilities to ensure they are in good condition.
- Carrying out minor repairs, maintenance work and technical checks.
- Control and management of building services, such as heating, air conditioning and lighting.
- Liaising with external service providers and tradesmen for larger maintenance and repair jobs.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Supporting relocations and internal remodelling work.
- Regularly checking the facilities for defects and proactively rectifying them.
- Managing and monitoring consumables and ordering them as required.
- Perform first\-level preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, material handling systems, utilities, and building infrastructure.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and execute repairs within authorized competency levels.
- Support external contractors and specialized technicians during maintenance activities.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure equipment availability and minimize downtime through timely interventions.
- Maintain tools, spare parts, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Record all preventive and corrective maintenance activities in the Fracttal CMMS system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Create, update, and close work orders in Fracttal, ensuring all interventions, parts used, labor hours, and observations are properly documented.
- Monitor assigned maintenance tasks and follow up on pending actions through Fracttal.
- Support the analysis of equipment performance, breakdown trends, and maintenance KPIs using data available in Fracttal.
- Ensure full traceability of maintenance activities in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all food safety, hygiene, HACCP, GMP, and company quality requirements at all times.
- Ensure that no foreign objects, debris, tools, fasteners, lubricants, or maintenance materials remain in production areas or equipment following any intervention.
- Conduct and document post\-maintenance inspections to verify equipment cleanliness and food safety readiness before release to operations.
- Use only approved maintenance products, chemicals, lubricants, and materials that comply with food safety requirements and company standards.
- Immediately report any food safety risk, contamination incident, or non\-conformance identified during maintenance activities.
- Follow lockout/tagout and sanitation procedures when intervening on equipment located in food production areas.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within food manufacturing, airline catering, or FMCG environments.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
- Experience using a CMMS, preferably Fracttal, is an advantage.
- Fluent in English
- Fluent in German
- French is a plus
- Minimum 5 Years’ Experience of similar role
- Experience of management roles, minimum 3 years
