- We are looking for an Equipment Supervisor
- You will report to the Unit Manager/Deputy Unit Manager
Team Leadership Responsibilities
- Assign daily tasks to operational staff and adjust workforce allocation based on flight schedules, workload, and operational changes.
- Monitor workflow timelines to ensure all washing, packing, and preparation activities are completed in line with flight loading deadlines.
- Manage attendance, breaks, and working time to maintain productivity and control overtime.
- Supervise operational performance and ensure compliance with company procedures, HACCP standards, and safety regulations.
- Act as first point of contact for operational issues (e.g. equipment failures, missing stock) and escalate major incidents to the Department Manager.
- Ensure that next\-day flights are prepared on time and according to operational requirements.
- Ensure that all trolleys and equipment are prepared in line with client specifications.
- Ensure inbound and return flights are counted and correctly recorded in the system.
- Ensure correct labelling of carts and boxes according to content and operational requirements, and transfer completed units to the designated ready zone.
- Perform spot checks to ensure all flights and units meet required standards before dispatch.
- Oversee unloading of flight trolleys and separation of waste and reusable items.
- Ensure proper washing and cleaning of trolleys, containers, cutlery, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure strict separation of Halal and Non\-Halal equipment at all times.
- Ensure cleaned equipment is sorted, counted, and prepared for Dotation and Production according to daily requirements.
- Ensure proper and safe operation of dishwash equipment in compliance with HACCP standards and cleaning procedures.
- Supervise dotation activities including quality and quantity check, preparation of tray set up and respect of Galley Loading Plan.
- Follow Group hygiene and safety regulations, HACCP standards, and company procedures at all times.
- Apply hygiene and food safety practices in line with HACCP and internal standards.
- Handle, store, and transport food products correctly, ensuring full traceability.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly at all times.
- Follow company allergen procedures and ensure safe handling of allergen\-controlled products.
- Use company equipment according to instructions and report any defects or issues immediately.
- Follow all company and customer\-specific procedures and instructions.
- Comply with all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements and food safety regulations.
- Report hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions without delay.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and compliant working environment by following all standards and procedures.
- Actively support the company “I CARE” culture by following rules, being attentive to safety risks, reporting issues, and promoting safe working practices.
Qualifications
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a multicultural team in a fast\-paced operational environment.
- Good organisational, communication, and problem\-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use operational systems and logistic reporting tools.
- Basic knowledge of English or German is required (at least one language). Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Previous experience in catering, or similar operational environment is required.
- Experience in a Team Leader or similar role is an advantage.
