PURPOSE :
- To provide pro\-active maintenance and technical support to the operations and engineering team to optimise production output for your process area.
- Coordinate a robust engineering team to provide proactive thinking and behaviours to minimize downtime on your process area.
- Utilis e the resources available in the most effective and efficient ways, prioritizing H\&S, Food Safety/Quality at all times .
- Ensure all maintenance tasks are planned, organized , and executed with the least effort at the best cost.
- Transfer knowledge to the Line teams and assure the proper level of skills and qualification successfully deploy the loss elimination skills needed for the Line to deliver the line and team goals.
- Ensure alignment with Line Leader and process area teams, supporting the training and development of equipment /process/area/system, owners.
- Develop and execute the preventative maintenance plan within agreed time scales and are optimised to minimise expenditure
- Monitor plant performance/efficiencies, attend the operations performance accountability meetings and own immediate actions, support the coordinating shift engineering team to action accordingly within a safe and timely manner whilst minimising cost
- Ensure that business systems such as SAP are being used effectively to develop a planned maintenance strategy. Support the development of these systems within the engineering function.
- Ensure root\-cause analysis is conducted for all relevant failures with corrective action plan implemented
- Responsible for food safety and product quality as defined by regulatory, Kraft Heinz and local procedures. It is the jobholder’s responsibility to escalate any issues that might compromise food safety and product quality
- Reduced \# of breakdowns due to improper maintenance overhaul / restoration procedures.
- Down time due to scheduled maintenance is optimized , reduced, and at target to deliver Line goals.
- Equipment performance is controlled and predictable, due to percent increase of planned maintenance work (\=\> 85% planned work and 85% PR and \< 8 unplanned stops / day is the goal).
- Through the updating of standards \& procedures, maintenance costs (parts \& labor) are reduced and in line with forecast .
- Owns results for: technical training of team, defect handling system, execution of the 52\-week plan and MRO costs for the process.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety regulations and ensure timely closure of agreed corrective actions .
- Actively participate in Line Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings and execution of the daily plan, including reporting on the following results the previous 24 hours:
- MP\&S in\-process measure (ex. \# PM’s executed, \# PM’s created/ modified ).
- Number of Breakdowns, insights from completed PM card(s) / maintenance logs.
- Review of Defects.
- Lead the review of the previous job completion results, other maintenance activities and today’s plan in the Daily Meeting. Plans should be adjusted accordingly based upon scheduled work, scheduled work completion and break in work.
- Lead the scheduling of maintenance work for the next week during the Weekly Planning Meeting.
- Lead the scheduling of maintenance work in The Monthly Meeting to schedule maintenance work for the next month as dictated by the annual maintenance plan and previously identified work.
- Lead and support the investigation of Breakdowns and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent re\-occurrence.
- Create OPL’s and train and qualify Line team in maintenance activities.
- Coach the line engineers and operators to improve the knowledge across the site .
- Deliver innovation and continuous improvement to reduce downtime caused by maintenance and equipment failures .
- Ensure maintenance schedules are updated with learnings from equipment failures to minimise unplanned plant downtime .
- Manage the collection of data supporting equipment failures and systems to reduce line down time.
- Ensure working practices embrace Kraft Heinz principles.
- Manage minor Capital Projects to completion .
- Develop cross functional relationships with internal customers and suppliers to maximise the effectiveness of the manufacturing function .
- Support the Line Centric Team through recommendations built on facts and data, when a stop \& fix approach is required .
- Ensure the PPM schedule is completed to the required standard to ensure plant reliability .
- Dealing with all concerns or issues that may jeopardize the successful operation and/or continuous manufacturing of the process area .
- Ensure KHMS MRE Pillar requirements are implemented and adhered to according to the standard.
- Line Centric Leaders: Process Owners, CI Lead, Team Leaders.
- Engineers, Q A Technicians and Operators.
- Support functions: H\&S, FSQ, HR, Finance, Planning , KHMS Site Lead.
- Recognised Engineering qualification is essential, HNC/HND/degree desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience ideally FMCG
- Develop skills and knowledge for personal development and overall continuous improvement
- SAP Plant Maintenance experience would be beneficial
- A Methodical approach to fault finding to diagnose and repair faults on automation, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a timely manner
- Some knowledge TPM/Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques
- Competent on MS office software
- Siemens S7 experience desirable but not essential
- Flexible, resilient and committed with a right first time attitude
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Be able to communicate effectively at all levels and ensure communications are clear and understood .
- Be able to engage and motivate teams when adapting and adopting change programs .
- Training and coaching capabilities .
- Strong organizational and technical skills .
- Ability to work with data and information.
