Maintenance Engineer

We require an enthusiastic, proactive, and capable technical expert who will embed technical and operational standards in order to deliver sustainable and repeatable performance. You will have a strong drive for results and improvements, a creative desire to improve the performance of equipment, and will be driven to find and introduce new techniques that will further develop manufacturing capability.

Key duties include:

• Driving standardisation of equipment in a high speed manufacturing environment using best practice and well defined engineering principles


• Support engineering department in building an effective maintenance plan in order to continually improve the performance of equipment


• Contractor management


• Helping to create and optimise work instructions, operation manuals and documentation in SAP


• Analyse trends to identify opportunities for improvements and/or standardisation to drive breakdown elimination and OEE improvements


• Link with European engineering and capital projects when required


• Run small projects and improvements to meet business needs


• Hands on role with the opportunity to work with external engineering companies to modify/redesign equipment to improve performance

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject


• Experience of working within a manufacturing facility and knowledge of current legislation


• Previous technical experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment


• Previous experience in SAP PM is beneficial
