Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for a 12\-Month FTC HR Advisor that could become a permanent role after 12 months.
Provide proactive, professional generalist HR support as part of the Group HR function, working across the full employee lifecycle and supporting managers and employees with day\-to\-day HR matters.
The primary focus of the role is employee relations case management, while also supporting HR projects, policy and documentation, attendance management, training and wider people initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with managers across a manufacturing environment and will be expected to provide confident, practical and commercially focused HR advice.

Duties
- Provide commercially focused HR advice and challenge to managers on people\-related matters.
- Provide regular HR insights, trends and recommendations to the leadership team.
- Support headcount planning, labour reviews and workforce optimisation initiatives.
- Support managers with objective setting, performance reviews and underperformance management.
- Manage and support employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, Company policies and procedures.
- Provide clear, practical advice and guidance to line managers on employee and employment issues.
- Support managers with performance management meetings and the development of appropriate performance improvement plans.
- Attend meetings, provide appropriate HR guidance and ensure accurate and timely minutes and records are maintained.
- Maintain up\-to\-date knowledge of relevant employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Coach managers to effectively manage employee relations issues in line with company policies and UK employment legislation.
- Lead or support formal HR processes, including investigations, hearings and appeals where appropriate.
- Identify employee relations trends and recommend preventative actions.
- Work with managers to identify and address employee engagement issues.
- Support recognition initiatives and promote a culture of appreciation and accountability.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently implemented across the business.
- Investigate unauthorised absence/AWOL cases and support managers with appropriate action.
- Support the management of long\-term sickness absence cases.
- Coordinate Occupational Health referrals and case management, including home visits where appropriate.
- Work with managers and employees to support effective attendance and wellbeing processes.
- Analyse absence data and recommend interventions to improve attendance.
- Support employee wellbeing initiatives and promote a healthy and supportive working environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
- Create, update and maintain Company HR documents, policies and procedures.
- Maintain and update the Employee Handbook.
- Use HR systems effectively to maintain accurate employee data and produce relevant reports and information.
- Support the accurate collection, analysis and reporting of HR data, using Excel and other systems as required.
- Ensure HR administration is organised, timely and compliant with Company procedures and data protection requirements.
- Provide HR metrics and reporting to management, including:
o Turnover
o Absence
o Employee relations
o Diversity and workforce demographics
- Monitor recruitment activity, vacancies, turnover and workforce demographics.
- Deliver management training on relevant HR topics.
- Create and maintain training materials and supporting documentation.
- Support wider learning, development and people initiatives across the business
- Advise managers on Company policies and procedures and support consistent application across the business.
- Ensure HR processes and documentation are completed accurately and in line with legislation and Company requirements.
- Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
- Assist the Group HSE Manager with accident and claim investigations where required.
- Liaise with management regarding payment and administration of work\-related accident absence.
- Support a positive Health \& Safety culture and ensure HR activities are aligned with Company requirements.
We are looking for an experienced HR generalist who is confident operating in a manufacturing environment and able to build effective relationships with employees and managers at all levels. The successful candidate will be practical, commercially aware and comfortable managing employee relations matters while also supporting the wider HR function.

- Proven experience working in a broad HR Generalist role.
- Experience providing HR advice and support to managers across a manufacturing or similarly operational environment.
- Strong employee relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management.
- Confident working with HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data and records.
- Excellent Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate, analyse and report HR data.
- Strong IT and systems capability with the confidence to learn and use new HR platforms.
- Experience supporting and advising management at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across a diverse workforce.
- Previous HR experience within a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace or other operational environment.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, time and attendance or other people systems.
- Experience producing HR reports and analysing people data using Excel.
- Experience delivering HR\-related management training.
- Working knowledge of employment law and practical HR best practice.
Pension: 5% minimum personal contribution, Company contribution of 3%
Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 BH pro\-rata (Christmas Shutdown)
